Thailand, known for its picturesque beaches, charming villages, vibrant cities, and impressive temples, stands out as a top travel destination in Asia for many tourists. As summer approaches and the nation gears up to receive an influx of visitors, officials have introduced a new travel guideline. Effective May 1, all non-Thai citizens arriving by land, air, or sea must complete and submit the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC). Prior to boarding a flight or entering the country, travelers need to ensure their TDAC is filled out and submitted. This regulation aims to streamline the entry process and enhance the overall experience for both visitors and locals. Tourists can register their TDAC up to 72 hours, or three days, before arriving in Thailand. The TDAC is organized into three main sections: the first collects personal information, the second requests travel and accommodation details, and the third addresses health-related information. After verifying these details, travelers will receive the digital card via their registered email, which must be presented at the immigration counter upon arrival.
Instructions for Completing the Thailand Digital Arrival Card:
- Visit the official TDAC website.
- Choose the 'Arrival Card' option available on the main page.
- Enter your personal information, including your full name, date of birth, nationality, and passport number.
- Provide necessary travel details such as your planned arrival date, mode of transportation, accommodation address in Thailand, and purpose of your visit.
- Indicate your current health status in the health declaration section.
- List any countries you have visited within the 14 days preceding your entry into Thailand.
- Review the information carefully before submitting the form.
- Once submitted, your digital arrival card will be generated automatically.
- Make sure to download the digital version of your TDAC for immigration checks.
Moreover, per Thai immigration laws, visitors who stay in Thailand for over 90 days are required to report their residential address to the nearest immigration office within a few days of reaching the 90-day threshold. This reporting must be done every 90 days throughout their stay.
