Disturbing details emerge in 4-year-old's murder in Pennsylvania

A Pennsylvania man is accused of killing his girlfriend’s 4-year-old son, and his mother is being accused of helping him.

20-year-old Keith Jordan Lambing, the boyfriend of the victim’s mother, is charged with homicide, rape and assault, as new details emerge about how the child was murdered.

According to reports the child was raped, severely burned on his left hand and bruised around his body after he died.

Goldinger said that, he may decide to seek the death penalty after the accused completes his preliminary hearing.

Butler Township Police said in a statement, the mother of accused Kristen Herold, has been charged with hindering apprehension and child endangerment for her alleged involvement in the case.

With help of a tip, police were able to locate an abandoned home in Burler, Pennsylvania. Where they found Lambing and Herold, who were taken into custody and are kept in Butler County Prison.

Police Lt. Matthew Pearson said that they had warrants for their arrest unrelated to the child's death. Keith Lambing did not show up to a burglary hearing the day before the 4-year-old died.

The child had been staying at the Super 8 motel in Butler with his mother, Lambing and a baby.

The child’s mother was at work, when he needed medical attention, Goldinger said. Lambing called his mother for help. Herold arrived and took up the boy, but he became unresponsive in the car.

Herold called emergency service for help and pulled into a parking lot.

A team of Paramedics came to the scene, and performed CPR on the unresponsive child. They took him to Butler Memorial Hospital, where he later died on Tuesday.

The baby staying at the motel is no longer under the mother’s custody. The Youth services took the baby under protective custody.

The 4-year-old’s mother, McKenzie Peters, may also be charged for playing a role in the conspiracy.
