Analysis

Sreekaram Movie Review, Rating, Story, Cast and Crew

Sreekaram is slow paced as it is a social drama. The first half of Sreekaram happens in a city till the lead actor Karthik quits his job. The love story is fresh and engaging. All the songs are shot well. The interval portions of the film are shot on an interesting note. The film also has a strong emotional thread and it is the major highlight of the film. The entire first half happens on a slow pace but looks impressive. The interval hints of an interesting and engaging second half.

The second half justifies the title well. The film is completely engaging and emotional. The methods of farming and the discussions about reaping profits in farming are well explained and narrated. All the episodes between Sharwanand and Rao Ramesh are highly emotional. The climax portions in which Karthik explains about farming through a speech is the major highlight of the film. On the whole, the second half of Sreekaram delivers what is needed and expected.

Performance

Sharwanand tops the show and he fits well in the role of Karthik. He looks stylish in the second half and traditional in the second half. Sharwanand once again delivered his best in the role of Karthik. Priyanka Mohan looks beautiful and does her part well. The love story between the lead actors is engaging. Rao Ramesh gets one more challenging role and full marks to the actor for his performance. All the episodes between the father and son are good. Satya's comedy is good and Sai Kumar shines in a negative role. Naresh does his part well and all the other actors in the film are good.

Sreekaram is a decent attempt and it is focused on farming. The screenplay is good and the emotional episodes are well written. The dialogues are one of the highlights of Sreekaram. The music and background score are good. The cinematography work is an asset and the entire second half looks beautiful. The production values are grand. B Kishore makes a grand debut with Sreekaram and the film is a daring attempt for a debutant.
