In 2023, Rajinikanth made history with Nelson's film, Jailer, which became one of the highest-grossing movies in Tamil Cinema. Speculation about a sequel to Jailer has been circulating for months now. Our sources have confirmed that Nelson has been working on Jailer 2 since the release of the first film in August of last year. And now, we have an exclusive update for all Rajinikanth fans. According to insiders, the first draft of Jailer 2 is complete and the team is very pleased with Nelson's concept. "Nelson is eager to delve deeper into Rajinikanth's character, Tiger, also known as Muthuvel Pandian, and has come up with a perfect sequel to continue the story. His idea has been approved by Rajinikanth and Sun Pictures, and Nelson is ready to begin pre-production work in June 2024," a source revealed.
